Weekly Marquee Matches for May 20

No more big drama in the league races as the champions have been crowned, but Champions League and Europa League berths for next season hang in the balance in the last matches of the league season.

Juventus vs. Napoli - Matchup Report

Juve has the Scudetto in the bag and they are in the Champions League final, but Napoli still has a lot for which to play. They are in fourth place in the league table with one more match to play and they are three points behind Lazio for the last Champions League automatic berth. Lazio has three wins in their last five matches, but can they beat Juve on their pitch even though the Serie A champions will be resting several key players for their big CL final facing Barcelona?

With Juve not being at full strength Bet365 has Napoli as the betting favorite at +140 with Juventus at +190 and a draw line at +230.

Genoa vs. Inter Milan - Matchup Report

Genoa is safe for an automatic Europa League berth for next season while Inter Milan is not. Inter is coming off a loss and may need to secure a point in order to play in the Europa League next season. However, while Genoa may not have anything to play for they have four wins in their last five league matches including wins in their last two.

Genoa is the slight home Serie A betting favorite at Bet365 with posted odds of +150 with Inter Milan at +163 and a draw line of +250.

Hull City vs. Manchester United

Manchester United has secured a Champions League berth for next season, but it is long shot that they will automatically qualify for the group stage. For that to happen they need to beat Hull City and have Arsenal lose their last two matches, which are both at home. The stakes are higher for Hull City, as they need to win this match and hope Newcastle United lose to West Ham or they will be relegated to the Championship League next season. That may be another long shot, as they have lost their last three matches.

Man U is the road betting favorite at Bet365 posted at +120 with Hull City at +210 and a draw line of +250.

Almeria vs. Valencia - Matchup Report

Valencia is unbeaten in their last four matches and while they are one point clear of Sevilla for fourth place and an automatic Champions League berth for next season they are not out of the woods. An outright win would give them a CL berth. To stay in the La Liga for next season Almeria needs a win and they need Granada and Dep. La Coruna to lose. In their last four matches Almeria has three losses and a draw, but they did play well in losing to 3-2 to Valencia on the road earlier this league season.

No surprise Almeria is the betting underdog at Bet365 at +350 with Valencia at -143 and a draw line of +300.

Malaga vs. Sevilla - Matchup Report

Sevilla is really rooting for Almeria, as if they do not secure at least a point facing Valencia they have no chance for a CL berth next season. They won their last match, but played to a draw and then lost their previous ones. Malaga also has a lot to play for, and even though they have lost three of their last four matches they can secure a Europa League berth with a win.

Bet365 has Sevilla posted as the betting favorite at +100 with Malaga at +250 and a draw line of +260.
